VERMILION, Ohio — The search continues for a dog who has been missing for two weeks after her family's house caught fire.

According to Vermilion police, the German Shepherd named Shelby, ran from her Roanoke Drive home during a fire June 8. Police have worked with Remi's Pet Recovery to find Shelby, but have not been able to capture her.

Police say there have been several sightings of Shelby reported, though none have occurred within the last 24 hours. Police encourage the public to continue reporting any sightings. They also warn the public not to chase Shelby, as she is extremely skittish.

Shelby is about two years old and light in color. Police say she is a house dog and it not used to being outside.

Anyone who spots Shelby should call Vermilion police at 440-967-6116.
