Cleveland men indicted for area carjackings, Streetsboro gun store theft

Austin and Lyons allegedly committed a series of armed carjackings in Cleveland from April to May.

CLEVELAND -- Two Cleveland men were indicted for committing a series of Cleveland area carjackings and using one of the stolen vehicles to steal from a Streetsboro gun store.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Zyshonne Austin and Ja'Quez Lyons, both 18 years old, face one count of conspiracy, one count of theft from a federal firearms licensee, one count of carjacking and one count of using a firearm during a violent crime.

A third suspect, identified as James Luke, 18, was indicted for his role in the gun store robbery.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Austin and Lyons committed a series of armed carjackings in Cleveland from April to May.

Austin was caught April 21 following an attempted armed robbery and carjacking in Ohio City.

Lyons was caught in May.

Authorities searched the pair's phones and found text messages discussing robbing the Streetsboro gun store.
