Suspect turns self in after women found stabbed, burned and bound in Willoughby Hills

Allen Adrian Crawford faces attempted aggravated murder and kidnapping charges

WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio — A woman's 911 call led to police's discovery of two women bound with multiple stab wounds and burns late Sunday afternoon.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office dispatch center received a call around 5:18 p.m. The caller said she was involved in a domestic incident on the sixth floor of the Willoughby Hills Towers on Chardon Road.

Police, fire, and EMS crews arrived to find two women with stab wounds and burns. One woman said she and her sister were bound, stabbed, and set on fire by the sister's boyfriend. 27-year-old Allen Adrian Crawford, who was later identifed by police, was also the father to the sister's three children: ages 2, 4 and 5. The women said the man fled with the children.

Shortly after, Crawford called Lake County dispatch to report he had dropped the children off at his parents' house on Muskoka Avenue in Cleveland. Crawford turned himself in at Cleveland Police's Fourth District office late Sunday night. He faces charges of attempted aggravated murder and kidnappping. A hearing is set for Wednesday.

The children are unharmed. Police did not give an update on the condition of the two women. They are calling the incident "an ongoing investigation."
