Car mangled, driver hurt in fiery Cleveland crash

He allegedly hit a tree, utility pole and fire hydrant before flipping over and crashing into a parked car.

CLEVELAND -- A man is recovering at the hospital after crashing and flipping his car in Cleveland early Thursday morning.

Police say the unidentified driver crashed on Harvard Avenue between East 117th and 116th streets around 2 a.m.

Authorities say his vehicle hit a tree, utility pole and fire hydrant before flipping over and crashing into a parked car.

The driver's vehicle then caught fire.

No word on his condition.
