CLEVELAND HEIGHTS -- Actress Jennifer Lawrence made a surprise visit to Cleveland Heights High School to talk politics with students Thursday morning.

The visit was in conjunction with a nonpartisan anti-corruption organization called Represent.US.

Lawrence met with 30 juniors and seniors for a lively discussion on fixing democracy.

“It was really amazing how informed Ms. Lawrence is about politics,” senior Londyn Crenshaw said in a news release. “It makes a big difference when people who are just 10 years older than us come to talk about political issues. When she said ‘this is your time,’ that really made me think. I have been involved in my community and will continue to be involved in grassroots activism because it’s important.”

Lawrence's tour of Cleveland continued to the west side, where she stopped at Ohio City's TownHall for lunch:

Lawrence is best known for her role as Katniss in "The Hunger Games" movie series.
