AKRON, Ohio — A 37-year-old man is dead following a shooting in Akron on Tuesday night.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Clark and Black streets.
The victim was found unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the thorax when officers arrived at the scene.
He was taken to Akron City Hospital where he later died at 10:20 p.m.
His name is not being released at this time pending notification of family.
No additional information was immediately available.
