Lenox Township – Ashtabula County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a body was found in a pond Friday night.
The body was discovered in a pond on Tompkins Road and was recovered. Several police, fire departments, and water rescue units were involved.
The property is reportedly owned by US National Bank.
Ashtabula County Deputy Coroner Tom Despenes told The Star Beacon that the body has not been positively identified yet, but is a younger, white male who appears to have been dead for some time.
Officials with the sheriff's department are not able to release an ID at this time.
No further information is available as the investigation continues.
