'Black Lives Matter Cleveland' speaks out about 'I can't breathe' Northeast Ohio protest

“This is absolutely a non-violent protest" the group wrote in a Facebook post while discussing the Saturday demonstration

CLEVELAND — The Black Lives Matter Cleveland division released a statement today on social media, giving a message of solidarity (and warning) to those participating in the demonstrations today in Cleveland, as well as all over the country.

"If you are coming to antagonize, agitate, or disrupt don't show up. There will be families present that have lost loved ones due to police violence," the group said on Facebook, "we want to give them the opportunity to tell their story and to talk about their loved ones."

"This is absolutely a non-violent protest BLM Cleveland is not condoning nor are we advocating for violence we do not want folks down there to agitate this situation this is going to be a peaceful...

The group is asking that all those who attend to follow the rules put in the Facebook's event page, and keep things peaceful. 

The event started at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and is expected to last several hours.
