CANTON -- Gervasi Vineyard has grown over the last eight years and will continue to do so this spring.
The vineyard announced plans to add a new hotel and distillery to its 55-acre estate. Construction is scheduled to be complete in late 2018 or early 2019. An opening date has not been announced.
The combined hotel and distillery will sit across from The Crush House Wine Bar on the southwest quadrant of the estate. The new buildings will have a Tuscan style motif and will enclose a European style courtyard.
The new hotel will feature 24 luxury suites with king-sized beds, heated floors and fireplaces. Each room will also have a covered veranda with views of the courtyard and pond. Gervasi wines, Italian continental breakfast, massages, yoga and spa treatments will be available via room service.
The 10,000-square-foot distillery will feature a variety of craft spirits inside a venue with high ceilings and an oversized window. The distillery will house a cigar and craft cocktail lounge, and will also offer public and private tours.
The vineyard also announced the addition of a "gangster themed" full bar inside The Bistro restaurant, which will offer craft cocktails designed and named to fit the theme.
