Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland, Opportunity Corridor unveil new murals

The Opportunity Corridor is a planned boulevard that will run from East 55th Street at Interstate 490 to East 105th Street in University Circle.

With the help of the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland, Opportunity Corridor Section 3 (OC3) unveiled new murals Monday evening.

The kids put the finishing touches on the personalized murals after helping to design and paint them through the “OC3 Community Youth Art Project”-- an initiative spearheaded by the Kokosing Construction Company.

"The children are our future … and each young artist is encouraged to include the one word that inspires them most about the project; HOPE, FAITH, JOBS, OPPORTUNITY, HOME OR NEIGHBORHOOD," said Tina Rice, Public Information Consultant with Kokosing Construction Company.

Opportunity Corridor is a planned boulevard that will run from East 55th Street at Interstate 490 to East 105th Street in University Circle. The corridor aims to improve transportation and economic development, in addition to creating jobs.

The 20 4-foot by 4-foot panels will be displayed in front of demolition sites along OC3. OC3 is the third and final section of the new Opportunity Corridor
