LAKE COUNTY, Ohio — The United States Coast Guard responded to a boat fire just miles away from the shore of Headlands Beach State Park in Mentor Wednesday evening.
Four people were on board when the boat caught fire, the Coast Guard reports. As the fire began quickly, all aboard the boat jumped into the water.
The boaters were pulled out of the water by good Samaritans and were later assisted by the Coast Guard.
All four people were wearing life jackets when the fire broke out.
It is unknown at this time what caused the blaze.
