Man fulfills creative sentence after mowing obscenities in Fairport Harding lawn

Judge Michael Cicconetti is at it again.

PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- A man sentenced to mow the Fairport Harding High School practice field as punishment for previously mowing obscenities into the school lawn served his sentence Wednesday morning.

Painesville Municipal Court Judge Michael Cicconetti offered Cody Scott two choices Tuesday: He could spend 10 days in jail or he could mow the practice lawn at the school.

Scott quickly offered to mow the lawn.

But there was a catch...

He wouldn't have the luxury of using a riding mower. Instead, Judge Cicconetti ordered that Scott use an old-fashioned, non-powered push mower.

Watch the full sentencing hearing:

"It might take you a little while to do it," Judge Cicconetti declared as the lawn mower was brought into the courtroom.

The judge also placed Scott on six months of probation and ordered him to get his GED. Scott was also told to stay away from the accomplices involved in the case.

"I was being childish, and I should've never done it," Scott said in court prior to sentencing.
