MEDINA -- Officials say all streets have been reopened following damage to a gas line at a Medina intersection.
Police say the intersection of S. Court Street and Smith Road had to earlier be evacuated and closed.
A spokesperson for Columbia Gas told WKYC that the original police warning of a ruptured line was incorrect. The spokesperson says the line was damaged by a third party.
According to the city, businesses within a one-block radius of the intersection were evacuated. Columbia Gas says the leak has been shut and small repairs are being made to the line.
Traffic was closed for a two-block radius in all directions around the intersection. Residents and motorists were asked to avoid the area.
