“As most of you know, Melanie Lake is currently under water,” the owner said on the park's Facebook page Monday afternoon. “We are expecting more rain in the days to come so we have decided to close the park for this week. We will take another assessment next Monday and let everyone know where we stand. We would like to say thank you everyone for their words of inspiration and encouragements.”

In another post, the owner shared a series of photos that depicts how intense the flooding actually is.

Melanie Lake is a long-running family tradition in Springfield Township, formerly known as Kim Tam park.

The owner vows to open again soon because "this is a community park where countless memories have been made and many more to come!!!!"

Melanie Lake wasn't alone in the flooding, though. Multiple communities in Summit County were among the hardest-hit areas within Northeast Ohio during these recent storms, including Copley, Barberton and Green.

The rain isn't over yet because more is expected this week.
