GUIDE | Cleveland Browns host New York Jets on Thursday Night Football

The Browns are looking to earn their first victory of the 2018 season.

CLEVELAND -- On Thursday night, the Cleveland Browns (0-1-1) will look to pick up their first win of the 2018 season when they host the New York Jets at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Below is everything you need to know about the contest whether you're planning to attend the game in person or just watching on TV.

The opponent

The Jets come to Cleveland laying claim to a 1-1 record through the first two weeks of the 2018 season. In Week 1, they defeated the Detroit Lions 48-17 on Monday Night Football, while last week, they lost to the Miami Dolphins 20-12.

Rookie quarterback Sam Darnold leads the team with 532 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. New York's rushing attack is spearheaded by former Browns running back Isaiah Crowell (137 yards, 2 touchdowns), with Quincy Enuwa (13 receptions, 155 yards, 1 touchdown) leading the team in catches and receiving yards.

Defensively, former Browns cornerback Buster Skrine leads the Jets with 14 tackles, with former Ohio State linebacker Darron Lee having tallied a team-high 2 interceptions.

Uniforms

A team source confirmed to WKYC that the Browns will debut their all-bown 'Color Rush' alternate uniforms against the Jets. Although the design was first revealed in 2016, the team has yet to have an opportunity to wear the primetime alternate until Thursday night.

Over the past few days, the Browns have been teasing the uniform's debut on social media.

Weather

"The Browns game will be a hot one with gametime temps still in the low 80s with pretty thick humidity making a quick return. Skies will be partly cloudy with a decent breeze out of the south between 8-14 mph. Temps will drop back through the 70s throughout the game but the humidity will remain on the thick side--a big change over our conditions Wednesday!" - WKYC meteorologist Matt Wintz.

Traffic

Per the Browns, fans are encouraged to arrive downtown by 6:30 p.m. on Thursday night. Daily Downtown Cleveland traffic is expected to be at a peak when most fans are heading into or moving through the city. Additionally, groups are encouraged to carpool or take public transportation, as feasible.

The City of Cleveland will have gameday road closures of East 9th and West 3rd Streets between Lakeside Avenue and FirstEnergy Stadium, including State Route 2 exits around the stadium. Closures are set to begin around 6:30 p.m.

Ongoing construction projects and lane closures on the Cleveland Memorial Shoreway (Route 2) will also impact traffic flow in and out of the city.

Also, keep in mind the Cleveland Indians will host the Chicago White Sox on Thursday evening, with first pitch coming at 7:10 p.m. ET.
