Winter storm warning in effect for much of Northeast Ohio

Had enough of the snow yet? Another blast is on the way with several inches expected.

After portions of Northeast Ohio were slammed by heavy lake effect snow Tuesday, there’s more wintry weather heading our way.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the majority of Northeast Ohio as a clipper system brings several more inches to the region.

The following counties are under the warning from 8:12 p.m. Wednesday to 6:12 p.m. Thursday where 4-6 inches of snow is expected:

- Cuyahoga

- Lake

- Geauga

- Ashtabula

- Portage

- Trumbull

- Mahoning

The following counties are under the advisory from noon Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday where 4-6 inches of snow is expected:

- Lorain

- Medina

- Summit

- Stark

- Richland

- Ashland

- Wayne

The following counties are under the advisory from noon Wednesday to midnight where 3-5 inches of snow is expected:

- Erie

- Huron

- Sandusky

- Lucas

- Wood

- Ottawa

- Seneca

The National Weather Service anticipates snow-covered roads and difficult travel conditions throughout the winter storm.

Winter officially arrives at 11:28 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21.
