Weather across the nation on April 22, 2019

A storm system will bring showers and a few heavy, gusty thunderstorms to portions of the Ohio Valley and interior mid-Atlantic tomorrow.

After rain dampens portions of northern New England during the morning, sunshine and warmer air will return in the afternoon.

In the meantime, flooding downpours and severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes are forecast to rattle parts of Oklahoma and Texas. 

Unseasonably warm air will accompany dry and tranquil conditions in the Deep South, Southeast, Carolinas, eastern mid-Atlantic and southern New England.

Cool and damp conditions will plague parts of the Pacific Northwest and Four Corners region, while sunshine and pleasantly warm air grace the Midwest and northern Plains.
