After heavy snow was dumped across portions of Northeast Ohio on Tuesday, more of wintry weather is expected in the days ahead.

Below are weather updates from our crews Thursday (most recent updates posted first).
6:00 p.m.
We aren't out of the woods quite yet. Here's what Meteorologist Matt Wintz is forecasting for the next 36 hours or so:
Lake effect snow showers continue in the eastern snowbelt and a few more inches are possible overnight. We'll enjoy partly cloudy skies elsewhere overnight with COLD temps down in the low to mid 10s. A mix of sun and clouds will turn to all clouds later in the day Friday. Snow showers will develop as our next system moves in with highs near 30.
A few inches of snow is possible Friday night through Saturday as that system moves through and another system develops. Highs Saturday will reach into the 30s.
11:30 a.m.
Traffic is badly backed up on I-71 southbound in Cleveland after a semi-truck flipped over near the W 65th St. ramp. Use an alternate route if possible.
9 a.m. Thursday
Traffic remains slow in some areas, particularly on I-90 eastbound near Lakewood.

6:40 a.m.
Will Ujek and Tiffany Tarpley both checked out traffic conditions on I-77 northbound, Will near Cleveland and Tiffany near Akron. Crews have improved road conditions, but speeds are slow due to heavy traffic.
6:15 a.m.
Multiple spin-outs have been reported on I-77 in Summit County this morning, so drive carefully.
Will Ujek was on Route 82 in North Royalton, where road conditions are fair. Side roads in the area are a lot slicker.
Tiffany Tarpley was eastbound on I-76 into the Akron area, where she encountered several spin-outs. Traffic is slow-going.
5:30 a.m.
The city of Cleveland has implemented an emergency snow parking ban effective at 7 a.m. today. No vehicles can be parked on city streets with red and white posted signs until further notice. Parking is prohibited on designated snow emergency streets.
5 a.m.
As kids are waking up hoping for school closings today, Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories are set to expire later today. Click here for a full list of school closings and delays.
Isolated snow showers are still possible this afternoon.
There are some traffic slow-downs across Summit County, as WKYC traffic reporter Dani Wiggins tells you in the video below:
Will Ujek navigated the streets of Brunswick, where he says road conditions vary. Some have been plowed and some remain buried in snow:
Tiffany Tarpley was in Summit County in the Barberton area, where conditions were bad enough to close schools for the day:

There are more weather-related accidents and closures being reported. Here's the latest from ODOT:
Mahoning County: I-76 westbound between Bailey Rd. and the Ohio Turnpike is Closed due to a crash.

11:00 p.m. Wednesday
So how are the roads around Northeast Ohio? WKYC Channel 3's Chris Tye along with photojournalist Randy White checked in from Summit County near the intersection of I-76 and SR 21.
Just a few moments after Chris filed his report, we got this note from ODOT:
9:30 p.m.
So what is happening currently with our weather? How much snow will we have on the ground? Will kids be heading to school tomorrow? You asked, WKYC meteorologist Matt Wintz had the answers during a special Facebook Live weather update.
7:30 p.m.
Here we go! ODOT has declared that the stretch of I-90 between State Routes 44 and 528 in Lake County has been reduced to a speed limit of 50 miles per hour. There are also reports from ODOT of slow traffic on I-90 Westbound at Bishop Rd in Wickliffe. Motorists should expect delays through this area.
6:15 p.m.
Our Brandon Simmons was out on the roadways of Northeast Ohio to check in on conditions during rush hour.
4:25 p.m.
A Winter Storm Warning is now in effect for multiple counties throughout the region. Several schools and churches have also closed for the evening.
6:30 a.m.
ODOT tweeted that speed limits on I-90 in Lake County are at 60 mph.
5:30 a.m.
Conditions were clear in Wadsworth:
Although snowflakes were flying, the road conditions in Elyria seemed to be decent:
The all-clear in Chardon Square, too:
5 a.m.
Snow-packed streets in Media had traffic moving slowly:
Icy road conditions were reported in Lorain:
Painesville, meanwhile, was mostly clear:
4 a.m.
As a clipper system approaches, the National Weather Service triggered Winter Weather Advisories for nearly all of Northeast Ohio. Forecasters predict 4-6 inches of snow is possible for most of the area.

9:45 p.m.
How bad are the road conditions as you drive across the area tonight? Our Jasmine Monroe sent in this video as she drove through white-out conditions on I-77 south.
9 p.m.
Meteorologist Michael Estime went on WKYC.com and WKYC's Facebook Live for an update on the current conditions, plus a look ahead to the clipper which is expected to dump more snow on us on Wednesday.
6 p.m.
As we mentioned earlier today, our friends at ODOT have installed variable speed limit signs along I-90 near Vrooman Road, where we report on so many accidents every year. Speed limits can be dropped from 70 miles an hour, all the way down to 30 during bad weather or accidents.
5:15 p.m.
I-77 near Ghent Road in Bath Township is currently experiencing massive traffic delays due to the weather and road conditions. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
4 p.m.
WKYC meteorologist Michael Estime estimates lake effect snow from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 3 a.m. Wednesday. That snow is expected to hit the primary snow belt from 6 p.m. to midnight for an additional three to five inches. The secondary snow belt can expect an additional one to three inches from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.
A clipper system is expected to hit 2 p.m. Wednesday and remain through 2 a.m. Thursday. This will impact Wednesday's evening rush hour commute with an additional one to three inches.
For those planning ahead, another round of snow showers is expected Friday evening into Saturday.
2 p.m.
WKYC's cameras caught this view of Lake Erie, where the wind was causing the waves to crash against the shore.
Noon:
More lake effect snow bands are expected this evening, meaning advisories and warnings remain in place.
10:30 a.m.
Drivers in portions of Summit County experienced white-out conditions along I-77 near I-271 and Route 8 near the Turnpike.
Crews were also forced to close all lanes of I-277 East between I-76 and Waterloo Road because of a crash.
8:30 a.m.
ODOT in Akron announced their district had 121 plows working to clear the roadways.
7:45 a.m.
ODOT announced speed limits had been reduced on I-90 between Route 44 and 528 in Lake County.

6:40 a.m.
Slow traffic was impacting drivers on I-271 South in Richfield as snow was sticking to the highway.

6:30 a.m.
The snow was falling harder in Chardon than we had seen earlier in the morning.
In downtown Cleveland, drivers along the Shoreway were greeted with wet roads as the snowflakes were flying.
In Brecksville, our crews were seeing a bit more snow sticking to the roadways.
6:10 a.m.
Side streets are much slower than normal because the snow is sticking. Here's a look at Wadsworth Road in Norton:
6 a.m.
Here's our extended 6 a.m. update:
Slushy conditions reported along I-90 in Westlake where our cameras witnessed a vehicle that slid off the highway.
Chardon Square started looking like a winter wonderland with a coating of snow. The roads, however, were mostly just wet.
5:40 a.m.
Flakes were flying in Barberton.
5:30 a.m.
Here's our extended weather / traffic report for 5:30 a.m.
Snow was starting to stick on the west side of Cleveland along I-90.
Barberton was also seeing quite a bit of snow.
The snowflakes were also flying in Fairview Park.
5 a.m.
Heavy snow hit Westlake, causing slow travel conditions.
In Lakewood, we started to see snow sticking to the streets near Lake and Clifton.
Akron, meanwhile, was experiencing primarily wet roadways along Route 18.
4:30 a.m.
WKYC's Tiffany Tarpley made her way to the Fairlawn area where the streets were mostly just wet on Route 18 near I-77.
WKYC's Maureen Kyle showed a bit of snow on side streets on Cleveland's west side near I-90 and Columbia Road.
4 a.m.
WKYC's Tiffany Tarpley tweeted video around that showed snow-covered side streets in Independence.
She also showed some of the snowy streets live on the air.
WKYC's Will Ujek tweeted out a series of pictures around 4:15 a.m. Tuesday that showed snowy streets in Mayfield.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland predicts some areas could see snow totals more than 12 inches where lake effect bands persist.
"Travel will be very difficult to impossible," the National Weather Service says.
