WATCH | Larry Nance Jr. throws down first two dunks in home debut with Cleveland Cavaliers

Cleveland's new forward is the son of Cavs legend Larry Nance.

CLEVELAND -- Larry Nance Jr. has only played in two full games with his new team, but that hasn't stopped Cleveland Cavaliers fans from greeting the team's new forward to a hero's welcome.

Making his home debut after being traded to the Cavs at the NBA trade deadline two weeks ago, Nance Jr. received a warm welcome as he checked in for Cleveland's Thursday night matchup against the Washington Wizards.

It didn't take long for the former Los Angeles Lakers forward to get the home fans back up on their feet. Early in the second quarter, Nance Jr. caught a lob from new teammate Rodney Hood before slamming it home to complete an alley-oop.

That wasn't even Nance Jr.'s final dunk of the quarter, as the Wizards defense later parted perfectly to pave the way for another two-handed slam.

The son of Cleveland Cavaliers great Larry Nance, Nance Jr. is no stranger to the rims at Quicken Loans Arena. Growing up in Akron, the younger Nance was "dunking" on the rims of what was then known as Gund Arena at an early age.

If you thought the cheers for Nance Jr. were loud on Thursday, just wait. Earlier in the night, the Akron Revere product announced he'll reprise his father's No. 22 jersey beginning next week -- although it will officially remain retired for the Cavs.
