CLEVELAND -- If there was one play that served as a microcosm of the Cleveland Cavaliers' first half against the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night, it came with 3:09 remaining in the second quarter.

It was at that moment Kevin Love threaded a perfect pass between the legs of Celtics forward Marcus Morris to a cutting LeBron James, who proceeded to cap the play with a thunderous reverse two-handed dunk typically reserved for the NBA 2K video game.

James' jam stretched the Cavs' lead to 54-34 in what was arguably Cleveland's most complete half of the postseason. At halftime, the Cavs lead the Celtics 61-41, thanks in large part to a 19-point first-half performance from James, who played in all but two minutes of the first half.

Point guard George Hill added 13 points for the Cavs and starting shooting guard J.R. Smith scored 6, one game after Cleveland's starting backcourt was limited to 3 combined points in the team's Game 2 loss. Rookie forward Jayson Tatum has scored 13 points for the Celtics, who have struggled while playing on the road thus far this postseason.

After winning the first two games of the series in Boston, the Celtics currently lay claim to a 2-0 lead over the Cavs in the best-of-seven series.
