Jiovanni joined the WKYC 3 news team as a reporter in June 2024.
Jiovanni was born and raised in northeast Ohio a little more than an hour outside Cleveland in Youngstown. He attended Kent State University and earned a degree in journalism. He then attended Arizona State University where he earned a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology along with a law degree.
Jiovanni started reporting in Youngstown, and eventually moved to Lafayette, Louisiana. While in Louisiana, he covered multiple major hurricanes including Hurricanes Laura and Delta. He then moved to Sacramento, California and worked for Fox News as a reporter.
During his time with Fox, he covered the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, trial of Kim Potter, Hurricane Ida, the border crisis, joined firefighters on the frontlines to report on multiple California wildfires, reported on multiple mass shootings, and the 2022 midterm elections.
Following his departure from the network, he worked in Houston, Texas, as a reporter and primarily covered breaking news and severe weather events.
Outside of the news, you’ll likely catch Jiovanni out and about in the city enjoying the outdoors. Jiovanni enjoys working out, watching football, and spending time with his friends and family.
