Peter Fleischer joined the 3 News team as an investigative reporter and anchor in 2024. He specializes in telling exclusive stories and uncovering information that engages viewers and promotes positive change in the community.
Peter comes to northeast Ohio from Fort Myers, Florida. While there, he received an Emmy award for his reporting following the devastation of Hurricane Ian. Peter has been recognized for his work on law enforcement, the education system, public health and safety, and other local topics. Peter received five Florida News Awards honors, including Reporter Craft in consecutive years, and won Investigative Series 1st place from the Society of Professional Journalists.
Earlier in his career, Peter worked in sports, including stops at the Kansas City Chiefs, ESPN, and the Memphis Redbirds. He's a massive sports fan who is thrilled to be in Cleveland, one of the most passionate markets in the country. Peter loves to get outside during his spare time and cannot wait to walk the Metroparks and take his dogs hiking.
