The storytellers, producers and creative team at 3News and WKYC Studios are nominated for a total of 28 Lower Great Lakes Emmy Awards. Nominations were announced Thursday.
3News’ nominations include:
- 5 p.m. show, “What’s New,” which debuted in 2020, and 11 p.m. newscast, “What’s Next”
- Laura Caso’s “Faces of COVID” series
- Several Rachel Polansky investigations, including “Living with Lead” and a report on shaken baby syndrome
- Multiple features, including Austin Love’s “NorthEATS Ohio” dining series and Mike Polk Jr.'s original song, “Ohio: We’re Important Every Four Years!”
- “A Very Cleveland Holiday Special,” hosted by Mike Polk Jr. and Jasmine Monroe
Winners will be announced during a virtual ceremony held in late June.
The Lower Great Lakes Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences includes television markets in northern Ohio and central Indiana, including Cleveland, Indianapolis, Toledo and Youngstown.
