AEW Collision coming to Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse Sept. 9

All Elite Wrestling is bringing its 'Collision' show to Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this fall.

CLEVELAND — For the first time in more than a year, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is returning to Cleveland.

On Tuesday, the pro wrestling company announced that it will be bringing its nationally televised "Collision" show to Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Saturday, September 9. The show will mark AEW's first in Cleveland since last August, as well as the company's debut at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse after previously hosting its events at the Wolstein Center on Cleveland State University's campus.

Tickets for the upcoming show in Cleveland will go on sale on Friday, July 21 at 10 a.m. ET at RocketMortgageFieldHouse.com.

The show will also mark the first time Cleveland has hosted "Collision," which is televised nationally on TNT weekly on Saturday nights. The show is headlined by CM Punk, who became one of pro wrestling's biggest stars during his run in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in the mid-2000s-mid-2010s.

After leaving WWE in 2014, Punk -- real name Phil Brooks -- embarked on an MMA career, which saw him lose his debut to Mickey Gall via first-round submission at UFC 203 in Cleveland in 2016. Following a loss to Mike Jackson at UFC 225 -- which was later overturned and ruled a no contest -- Punk returned to professional wrestling in 2021, signing with AEW, which has positioned itself as a competitor to his former employer, WWE.

AEW's return to Cleveland comes at an interesting time for the company, as it will be coming off two of its biggest shows of the year. On Aug. 27, AEW will host "All In" at Wembley Stadium in London, one week before holding "All Out" at the United Center in Chicago -- Punk's hometown.
