CLEVELAND — Cirque du Soleil is bringing its first Christmas show to Cleveland's Playhouse Square this December.
"'Twas the Night Before by Cirque du Soleil" is a "Christmas themed show inspired by the joy of giving and the wonder of the holiday season" based on Clement Clarke Moore's classic poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas," the Canadian circus troupe said in a press release.
The show features a cast of 26 acrobatic artists and a story inspired by lines from Moore's poem, with a soundtrack including new arrangements of classic Christmas songs.
"Whether you are a child of 5, 50, or 95 years old you are sure to be wowed by incredible acrobatics and a heart-warming story," Cirque du Soleil said.
"'Twas the Night Before" will play 18 performances at the KeyBank State Theatre, running from December 4-15. Tickets went on sale on Friday and can be purchased online or by calling the Playhouse Square box office at 216-241-6000.
