3News Exclusive First Look: RAKE founder Ricky Smith launches the "Really Amazing Food Truck" at Welcome to the Farm in the Flats

R.A.F.T. is an extension of Ricky's "Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere" non-profit organization

CLEVELAND — Ricky Smith, the founder of Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere (R.A.K.E.). launched an extension to his charity known as the "Really Amazing Food Truck" (RAFT) on Friday

In an 3News Exclusive First Look at the truck's home outside of Welcome to the Farm in the Flats, Smith revealed that for every meal purchased at the RAFT, one will be donated to someone in need.

The menu, which was designed by celebrity chef and Cleveland native Michael Symon, features grilled cheese sandwiches and tator tots, keeping things simple while also offering the opportunity to change things up.

The truck is wrapped in positive song lyrics, and from the outside you'd never know what it serves up. That's part of the design, according to Ricky, allowing him to offer different things on different days.

For at least the first month, when you see the RAFT, the sandwiches will be available by donation only. There's a recommended donation of $10 per order, but people are invited to pay what they can at this time.

For the foreseeable future, the truck will be parked outside of Welcome to the Farm on Friday and Saturday nights from 5 pm to 10 pm.

Ricky also plans to drive around and stop in random spots, hoping to bring a smile to random places in the community throughout the week.

Hear more from Ricky about the backstory to the launch of RAFT in next week's 3 Things to Know podcast, dropping on Monday, April 4.
