3 Things Poppin' in Northeast Ohio: Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival, Crocker Park Wine Festival, Doggy Day at the drive-in

Get out and explore all that Northeast Ohio has to offer this weekend!

CLEVELAND — Have you lived in Northeast Ohio forever, or maybe you're new to the area? Whatever your story, the region has tons to offer when it comes to experiences and adventures.

However, at times it can be hard to find and narrow down the best ways to spend your time. That's where I come in.

Normally, I keep you up to date on the latest pop culture stories every day in "Pop Break" on "What's New" at 5 p.m. But now, with this new segment "3 Things Poppin' in Northeast Ohio," I'll be sharing with you my picks for trendy things to do on the weekends!

So without further delay, here's what I think you should check out this weekend, Sept. 16-18.

Crocker Park Wine Festival

If you’re looking for a chance to wind down. Check out the Crocker Park Wine Festival.

Friday until 10 p.m. and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., guests can enjoy more than 150 types of wine from local, national and international producers. The festival will also have live music, exhibits, artists and great food.

The event also serves as a benefit for University Hospital Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.

Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival

How about taking a trip to Lorain for the Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival?

On Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. guests can enjoy the boating, competitions, live music, vendors and food trucks at Riverside Park in Lorain.

The water sports showcase is free and open to the public.

Doggy Day Vendor Fair at Aut-o-Rama Drive-in

If you’re not in the mood to race, how about a nice day out with your fur baby?

On Saturday, the Aut-o-Rama Drive- in  in North Ridgeville has teamed up with multiple breed rescue for a doggie day at the drive-in vendor fair.

In its second year, the event will include shopping, raffles and visits from adoptable dogs. All of the proceeds will go to helping dogs find their fur-ever home.

The fun goes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the afternoon and it’s free for shoppers!
