CLEVELAND — Have you lived in Northeast Ohio forever, or maybe you're new to the area? Whatever your story, the region has tons to offer when it comes to experiences and adventures.
However, at times it can be hard to find and narrow down the best ways to spend your time. That's where I come in.
Normally, I keep you up to date on the latest pop culture stories every day in "Pop Break" on "What's New" at 5 p.m. But now, with this new segment "3 Things Poppin' in Northeast Ohio," I'll be sharing with you my picks for trendy things to do on the weekends.
North Ridgeville Corn Festival
Up first, the folks in North Ridgeville are hosting their 47th annual Corn Festival this weekend. From Friday to Sunday, guests can enjoy live entertainment, a car show, a grand parade, and so much more.
The event proceeds go directly back to the North Ridgeville community in the form of scholarships, assistance, and donations to local agencies. The fun is free and so is parking. It’s corny, but it’s sure to be an amazing time.

International Kite Festival
Next up, let's take things to great heights at the International Kite Festival!
On Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., kite fliers from around the country will take to the skies at Edgewater Park. The event, put on by the Ohio Society for the elevation for Kites, is free and open to the public.

The Feast of the Assumption
And last, but not least, an event with more than 100 years of tradition.
The Feast of the Assumption is taking place this weekend in Little Italy. The Catholic street festival takes place from Friday to Monday, and attendees can experience Italian food and desserts, live music, and rides for young children.
The annual event, centered around Holy Rosary Church, is free and open to the public. For more information, click here.
