CLEVELAND — Have you lived in Northeast Ohio forever, or maybe you're new to the area? Whatever your story, the region has tons to offer when it comes to experiences and adventures. 

However, at times it can be hard to find and narrow down the best ways to spend your time. That's where I come in.

Normally, I keep you up to date on the latest pop culture stories everyday in Pop Break on "What's New" at 5 p.m. But now, with this new segment "3 Things Poppin' in Northeast Ohio," I'll be sharing with you my picks for trendy things to do on the weekends.

So without further delay, here's what I think you should check out this weekend, Dec. 17- 20. 

The holiday season is very much still upon us, so if you're looking for a distraction, I’m your girl. Here are 3 unique 3 things poppin' in Northeast Ohio this weekend.

Sneaker Con at the Huntington Convention Center

Saturday, Dec. 18 | 11 a.m.-7 p.m. | 300 Lakeside Ave. East

If you’re looking for new, fresh kicks, this is the place to be.

The keepers of sneaker culture will invade the Huntington Convention Center on Saturday. For $25, attendees will have to opportunity to buy, sell and even trade sneakers with hundreds of vendors. You just might find your next favorite pair.

Chelsea Pastel Concert at the Grog Shop

Saturday, Dec. 18 | 9 p.m. | 2785 Euclid Heights Blvd.

Once you're gotten yourself fresh at Sneaker Con, how about supporting a local artist?

Cleveland native Chelsea Pastel has been working tirelessly this year on her craft, and on Saturday, she’s headlining a concert at the Grog Shop. She'll be joined by The Monday Program and more special guests. 

Tickets to the show are just $15 in advance, but if you can't make it the show, Chelsea’s album "Pastelevision" is out now on all streaming platforms.

Tacos and Trivia at Nuevo Modern Mexican & Tequila Bar

Saturday, Dec. 18 | 7:30-10:30 p.m. | 1000 East 9th St.

If you’re not into sneakers or live music, how about tacos? Everyone love tacos, right?

On Saturday, Nuevo Modern Mexican is hosting a tacos and trivia night. For just $25, guests will enjoy all you can eat tacos and the chance to win a host of prizes.
