CLEVELAND β Cleveland is preparing for a busy weekend. On Friday, Sept. 13, Billy Joel and Rod Stewart will perform at the newly-named Huntington Bank Field.
The concert marks the first time that Joel and Stewart will perform together. The show will feature the iconic musicians singing their most beloved songs throughout their illustrious careers.
Organizers say that "this spectacular show promises to be an unforgettable night of live music."
Anyone attending the concert is asked to come to downtown Cleveland early, as the Guardians will be playing at Progressive Field, and Nicki Minaj will be performing at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Friday night.

From 3 p.m. on Friday to 1 a.m. on Saturday, restrictions will be in place on:
- Lakeside Avenue β From East 9th Street to West 9th Street
- St. Clair Avenue β From East 9th Street to West 9th Street
- East 9th Street β From Lakeside Avenue to Carnegie Avenue
- West 9th Street β From Front Avenue to West Superior Avenue
From 4 p.m. on Friday to 1 a.m. on Saturday, restrictions will be in place on:
- Prospect Avenue β From East 9th Street to Ontario Street
- Huron Road β From Ontario Street to Prospect Avenue
Road and exit ramp closures
From 6 a.m. on Friday to 1 a.m. on Saturday, the following closures will be in effect:
- Al Lerner Way
- Additional portions of Erieside Avenue
From 5 p.m. on Friday to 1 a.m. on Saturday, the following closures will be in effect:
- West 3rd Street Exit Ramp β From Route 2 Westbound
- East 9th Street Exit Ramp β From BOTH Route 2 Westbound AND Eastbound
Access to Route 2 from West 3rd Street will be open until 5 p.m.
Access to Route 2 Westbound from East 9th Street will be open until 5 p.m.
During the events, access to Route 2 Eastbound from East 9th Street will be open ONLY from Lakeside Avenue (subject to change).
In addition, access to The Pit Lot and Huntington Park Garage will be open on West 3rd Street throughout the entirety of the event (subject to change). Access to The Muni Lot will be open from Route 2 or South Marginal Road east of the Muni Lot.
RTA transportation information
Waterfront Line rail service will be provided on Sept. 13. The first train leaves Tower City Station at 4 p.m., and the last train leaves South Harbor Station at 11:57 p.m. The Waterfront Line will operate every 15 minutes between Tower City and South Harbor.
- One-way fares ($2.50) or All-day passes ($5.00) are available on the Transit App with EZfare or at station Ticket Vending Machines.
- NOTE: When purchasing on EZfare please make sure you select RTA.
- Plan ahead & leave early. A large crowd is expected so give yourself plenty of time to arrive safely.
