Cleveland Guardians April 8 home opener sold out, announce return of $49 'Ballpark Pass'

The game marks the 31st consecutive Opening Day full house at Progressive Field since the ballpark first opened in 1994

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Guardians have announced that its home opener on April 8 against the Chicago White Sox is sold out. 

The sellout marks the 31st consecutive full house on Opening Day at Progressive Field since the ballpark first opened in 1994, the team said in a news release.

Despite the sellout, there is still a way to attend the home opener. The Guardians announced on Saturday the return of the Ballpark Pass. For $49 per month, fans can attend any Guardians home game with the monthly standing-room-only ticket. 

At Progressive Field, the standing-room-only locations include the Corner bar, left field, and right field drink rails, the home run porch, Heritage Plaza, and the new upper level renovated corners – The Pennant District in the right field and the Terrace Garden in the left field.

Fans can purchase the monthly Ballpark Pass, which includes access to the home opener, HERE.

Amid the total solar eclipse that will also be happening on April 8, the Guardians will have a first pitch at 5:10 p.m. The gates at Progressive Field will open at 2 p.m.
