The countdown is on for the much-anticipated return of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's Asian Lantern Festival, and setup has already begun.
The Asian Lantern Festival has been a hit at the zoo for the past few summers. This year, it will open up to the public on July 14, with an all-new experience that guests can enjoy.
In a Facebook post Thursday morning, the zoo posted some new, behind-the-scenes photos of the setup for the festival, which you can see below.
This year's Asian Lantern Festival will run after-hours at the zoo on Thursday through Sunday evenings from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. through September 5.
You can walk through the zoo to experience the Asian Lantern Festival, or there will be a limited number of drive-through tickets available as well. Those will be sold on Wednesday evenings, and you can experience the festival without ever leaving your vehicle.
Advance tickets are on sale now. Zoo members get a discount, and tickets are $18 individually, or a four-pack for $54. For non-members, advance tickets are $20 a piece, or $66 for four. Same-day tickets can be purchased at the zoo's box office for $22 a piece, or a four-pack for $66. For the drive-through option, tickets are $54 per vehicle for members, and $60 per vehicle for non-members. Kids under two years of age are free.
