The holiday season has arrived and that means the Cleveland Orchestra Holiday Concerts are back at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Concert Hall.
The concerts begin Thursday night and run through Dec. 19 at the Severance Music Center. Shows are scheduled Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 p.m. Additional shows will be held at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays for a total of 12 concerts.
Some of the shows will have special guests, including the Cleveland State University Chorale on Dec. 10 and 11, the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus Chamber Ensemble on Dec. 12, 16 and 19 and members of the Wooster Chorus from the College of Wooster on Dec. 17 and 18.
The Cleveland Orchestra is under the guidance of conductor Brett Mitchell and will be joined by members of the Blossom Music Festival Chorus.
Tickets are still available for all shows, and may be purchased at the orchestra’s site.
In order to attend the concerts, guests must either show a proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of entering the show. Guests must also wear a face mask during the experience. The Cleveland Orchestra asks that anyone feeling ill or experiencing symptoms related to a cold or other infectious disease to take care of their health and the health of others by staying home.
