Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival taking place July 14-16

CLEVELAND — The 38th annual Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival is returning to the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds this weekend. 

The event, which is taking place from Friday, July 14, until Sunday, July 16, is making its return after a three-year hiatus. 

The weekend-long festival will feature music, Irish dancing, pipe bands, exhibits, vendors, food and more. 

John O’Brien Sr. started the festival in 1982 with the goal of celebrating Irish music, dancing, sports and theater among Northeast Ohioans. 

Since the event's inception, the festival has expanded into a three-day format. 

Performances throughout the weekend include musical acts Ally the Piper, The Bow Tides, The Elders, and Seanie Vaughn. They join familiar favorites like The High Kings, Brigid’s Cross and The Prodigals.

3News' Carmen Blackwell will kick off the event at the main runway by the food court and the outdoor Irish market at 5 p.m. on Friday. 

Below is everything you need to know about the festival: 

TIMES

  • Friday: 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday: 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. (fireworks at dusk)
  • Sunday: 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. (Mass will be celebrated at 11:30am)

ADMISSION PRICES

  • Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased HERE as well as at the ticket booths at the Bagley and Eastland Road gates. Children under 10 years old will receive free admission.
  • A weekend pass can be purchased for $35 

PARKING

  • Parking for the festival is free

WILL CASH BE ACCEPTED? 

  • The 2023 Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival will be a cashless event. Major credit and debit cards as well as Google pay and Apple pay will be accepted.
