'Legacy Live' concert series returns to Legacy Village this summer

The slate features a mix of pop, rock, jazz, oldies, and everything in between. All shows are free.

LYNDHURST, Ohio — This coming summer, Northeast Ohioans will be able to enjoy events all around the area, and that includes Legacy Village in Lyndhurst.

The outdoor shopping center announced a slate of concerts and activities on Tuesday, beginning June 3 and 4 during the annual "Art in the Village" gathering. "Legacy Live" then kicks off June 10 and runs through Sept. 16, featuring a mix of pop, rock, jazz, oldies, and everything in between.

"Legacy Live is a celebration of summer with amazing music and a spirit of community that is uniquely Legacy Village," General Manager Susan Windle said in a statement. "In addition to space to pull up a chair and enjoy, there's frozen desserts, al fresco dining as well as the opportunity to enjoy adult beverages outdoors and takeout food — a wonderful community gathering each Saturday."

All concerts are free and will take place on "The Lawn" between California Pizza Kitchen and Bar Louie, with patrons over 21 able to purchase alcohol from several restaurants and take them to the outdoor "DORA." The schedule is as follows:

Art in the Village

  • June 3: Cats on Holiday (roots/zydeco) — noon-3 p.m.
  • June 3: Justo and Havana Nights (Latin soul) — 4-7 p.m.
  • June 4: Sunset Harmony Duo (acoustics) — 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • June 4: Back9 Par4 (acoustic classics) — 3-6 p.m.

Saturday Legacy Live (5-8 p.m. each date)

  • June 10: Jump the Gun (classic rock/funk)
  • June 17: Swamp Boogie Band (classic rock)
  • June 24: Funkology (funk)
  • July 1: Discovery Band (R&B/dance)
  • July 8: Blue Lunch (jazz/swing/blues)
  • July 15: East Wind (classic rock)
  • July 22: Replay (oldies)
  • July 29: Ricky & the Rockets (classic rock/oldies)
  • Aug. 5: Light of Two Moons (Oldies)
  • Aug. 12: Blue Drivers (blues/swing)
  • Aug. 19: Revolution Pie (Beatles tribute)
  • Aug. 26: Backtraxx (Motown/funk/rock)
  • Sept. 2: Rock Radio (rock)
  • Sept. 9: No Name Band (oldies)
