BEREA, Ohio — Drive-ins have experienced a resurgence in popularity this summer. They are the perfect socially-distanced entertainment for the COVID-19 era.
Now, a new touring experience called the "Parking Lot Social" is taking the concept even further. The traveling road show opens at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds this Wednesday and features nine events through Sunday.
"Each event will feature a carefully curated mix of new and classic entertainment concepts that everyone can enjoy," a press release read. "From evening and late night events to our 'SocialKids' daytime program there truly is something for everyone."
The schedule includes a comedy show, "car-a-oke," "boom boom bingo," live bands, a silent disco, screenings of the films "Dirty Dancing" and "The Purge," and more.

Wednesday, 7 p.m.: Local comedy show
Thursday, 7 p.m.: "Dirty Dancing" screening with pre-show entertainment
Friday & Saturday, 6 p.m.: Parking lot social with car-a-oke, bingo, DJ battles, trivia contest, & more
Friday 11:15 p.m.: "Midnight Movie" screening of "The Fast and the Furious"
Saturday & Sunday 11:30 a.m.: SocialKids family event with silent disco contests, live bands, games, &more
Saturday, 11:15 p.m.: "Midnight Movie" screening of "The Purge," with pre-show DJs
Sunday, 7 p.m.: Screening of "Grease"
