Ice Festival at Lake Metroparks Farm Park is a great winter activity for the whole family

Brave the cold. The beautiful ice creations will be worth it.

KIRTLAND, Ohio — Ready, set, carve! The Ice Festival at Lake Metroparks Farm Park is full of cool things to do. See what we did there?

Visitors can check out ice-carving demonstrations, carving competitions, or a fire and ice tower lighting.

And here's something to see: You can watch wood and ice carvers go head to head in a friendly carving competition.

If you bring the kiddos, enjoy some hot chocolate, s'mores, and other snacks and hot drinks. Plus, check out their ice slide, or take a selfie in an ice chair!

The ice festival runs today, January 29, from 9am-7pm.

Tickets are:

  • $6 - Kids ages 2-11
  • $8 - 12-59
  • $7 - 60 and over $8
  • FREE -- Kids under 2, Farm Park members and active military members and their families.
