LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Liam Neeson was a man of the people last weekend.

The actor has recently been in Northeast Ohio to film his newest movie, called "The Minuteman." But it seems that he took a break from work to hang out at Mahall's, the dive-y bowling alley and bar on Madison Avenue in Lakewood.

Mahall's posted a photo of Neeson hanging with a fan Saturday night.

Liam Neeson stopped by the lanes tonight. Our young Clyde McEwen gave him a warm Cleveland/Lakewood welcome. Perhaps because of their shared Irish heritage, they become instant buddies.

It's not the first time a celebrity has spent time at Mahall's, which is known for retro bowling lanes, underground music acts and delicious fried chicken. Matthew McConaughey also made an appearance there in May 2017 while filming "White Boy Rick" around Cleveland.

Neeson and "The Minuteman" crew were in Wellington in Lorain County last week to film in the downtown area.

The movie, which is directed by Robert Lorenz, is described as follows: "A rancher on the Arizona border becomes the unlikely defender of a young Mexican boy desperately fleeing the cartel assassins who’ve pursued him into the U.S."

The film also stars Katheryn Winnick and Juan Pablo Raba.

Crews were also spotted filming scenes for "The Minuteman" in Cleveland, Parma and Portage County.
