CLEVELAND — As Disney unleashes its latest original movie – Turning Red – on Disney+ Friday, the city of Cleveland is getting involved in the celebration.
The Terminal Tower was illuminated in red before sunrise early Friday morning in honor of the new Turning Red feature film. The red lighting will continue at the tower Friday night as well.
“Disney and Pixar’s Turning Red introduces Mei Lee, a confident, dorky, 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence,” according to the movie’s description on Disney+. “Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, is never far from her daughter – an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interest, relationships and her body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited, she ‘poofs’ into a giant red panda.”
The movie features the voices of Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh, Ava Morse and Hyein Park.
