Whilst the final cut for Mrs. Doubtfire is all floral aprons, cross dressing nannies and fake faces on fire, it turns out it wasn't always supposed to be that way - as these deleted scenes reveal it was initially much more jarring. Tissues at the ready, y'all.
So we all have hugely fond memories of Robin Williams' iconic Mrs. Doubtfire film, but you might not feel the same after watching the two alternate scenes that have found their way online.
In one of them, Daniel and Sally's divorce is portrayed as much less amicable than the original film leads you to believe, with the pair arguing at Lydia's spelling bee and eventually distracting the kids on the stage.
It's thought this scene was initially meant to make the cut shortly after the kids found out about the identity of their new nanny, and it's HEARTBREAKING TO WATCH.
In the second scene, Daniel and Sally's children witness a brutal fight between their parents - and it's filmed through their perspective. As you can imagine, divorced parents arguing + children's POV = heartwrenching.
This scene apparently got cut from shortly after Sally finds out who Mrs. Doubtfire really is, and unless you have a heart of steel and tearducts drier than the Sahara, it genuinely is really sad to watch.
