CLEVELAND — From teaching to writing and directing movies, Marcel Dorsey is no stranger to hard work.
"It’s not about getting anything back, but if you’re a real person you should look to push people forward," Dorsey said.
He has pushed many students to follow their dreams, and now he’s living one of his own with not one, but two movies premiering at the Cleveland Urban Film Festival.
In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dorsey managed to put together two films: One Last Drink, an entertaining film, and Kamo Lyfe, which is a documentary about a group of hikers not only motivated to reach the top, but what they need to make it in life.
"When people hear hiking, they think looking at a bush or something. But it’s more, and the story will pull you in," he explained.
But it won’t be pulling you into the theaters this time around. It will more than likely be on your phone or in your home streaming.
The 2020 Cleveland Urban Film Festival takes place from Sept. 10-18. Get your tickets HERE.
