CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Akron natives Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney – the duo behind The Black Keys – are bringing their upcoming “Dropout Boogie Tour” to Blossom Music Center on Friday, Sept. 9.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4. An exclusive fan club presale begins Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. A limited number of VIP packages will also be available, which includes premium seats, sound check visit, an autographed lithograph and more.
The following COVID safety alert is listed on the concert, but organizers say these guidelines are subject to change:
"In the best interest of fans and staff, the Event Organizer will continue to monitor local COVID-19 trends and meet or exceed protocols mandated by local governments," according to LiveNation. "By purchasing tickets to this event, unless prohibited by law, you agree to abide by the health and safety measures in effect at the time of the event, which may include, but not be limited to, wearing masks, providing proof of vaccination status and/or providing proof of negative COVID-19 test."
The Black Keys formed in Akron back in 2001.
“The Black Keys have been called ‘rock royalty’ by the Associated Press and ‘one of the best rock ‘n’ roll bands on the planet’ by Uncut,” according to a press release from LiveNation. “Cutting their teeth playing small clubs, the band has gone on to sell out arena tours and have released nine previous studio albums.”
The Dropout Boogie Tour, which was announced Monday morning, also features a concert in Cincinnati on Sept. 3. Band of Horses are joining the tour as special guests.
Last year, The Black Keys received their 14th Grammy nomination for Delta Dream, which was released in May 2021.
