New Edition's swing through Cleveland comes as the iconic group celebrates its 40th anniversary. In 1983, their debut album, "Candy Girl," went to the top of the charts. They amassed a string of hits that included "Candy Girl," "Cool It Now," "Mr. Telephone Man," and "Can You Stand the Rain."

Brown, Gill, and Tresvant would go on to achieve success as solo artists. The remaining three members formed the group Bell Biv DeVoe. Brown collaborated with Teddy Riley on his smash-hit album "Don't Be Cruel," which had five top-10 hits, including the Grammy-winning "Every Little Step" and "My Prerogative," which went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

New Edition reunited in 1996 for a new album, "Home Again." More recently, they were honored with BET's "Lifetime Achievement" award. Their 3-part BET biopic series: The New Edition Story, attracted more than 29 million viewers.
