CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Legendary rock bands Styx and REO Speedwagon went on a summer tour four years ago, and the groups have announced that they’ll be teaming up again in the summer of 2022.
The upcoming tour -- “Live & UnZoomed” -- will kick off on May 31 in Grand Rapids, Mich., but the second stop will be in Northeast Ohio as the groups will pay a visit to Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls on Wednesday, June 1.
The tour also includes Loverboy as a special guest.
“I can’t think of a better way of touring the USA next year than with good friends we’ve known for years and performed with on many a stage,” Styx’s Tommy Shaw said in a release.
This will mark the fifth time the two groups have gone on tour together.
Tickets are set to go on sale starting Dec. 10, at 10 a.m. There are also VIP packages available that include exclusive pre-sales, which are set to begin December 6, at 10 a.m. Those will be available on each of the bands’ sites.
The tour is schedule to perform 35 shows, with 34 of them in the United States and one in Toronto.
