The Grog Shop, BSide announce reopening plans

The concert venues also laid out social distancing plans for events this summer.

After being closed for almost an entire year, Cleveland Heights music venues The Grog Shop and BSide announced Monday they would be reopening, with socially distanced reserved seating, food service from Cleveland Heights restaurants, and local bands and performers. The events will begin in May.

The first series of events will be Show and a Snack, a series that originally started in October 2020. It features local performers and highlights Cleveland Heights restaurants.

Here's the lineup for Show and a Snack:

  • Thursday, May 6th: Jenna Fournier (of Niights) w/ The Battle + MOJO World Eats
  • Thursday, May 13th: Oregon Space Trail of Doom w/ Terrycloth Mother + Boss Dog Brewing Co.
  • Thursday, May 20th: Maura Rogers & The Bellows w/ Jack Harris + Tommy’s
  • Thursday, May 27th: Orange Animal w/ Bobby Vaughn + Gigi’s on Fairmount
  • Thursday, June 3rd: The New Soft Shoe w/ John Kalman + CHIMI
  • Thursday, June 10th: Ghani Harris & Ras Khalifa
  • Thursday, June 17th: Hey Mavis w/ Hannah Stak + Geraci’s Restaurant
  • Thursday, June 24th: Punch Drunk Tagalongs w/ Echo Messiah + Marotta’s
  • Thursday, July 1 Grandview w/ Faces of Belmez + The Tavern Company

The venue will also host local bands and performers from May through the summer. These shows will also be socially distanced with reserve seating. Here's the lineup:

The BSide is hosting Make 'Em Laugh Mondays comedy night every Monday, hosted by John Bruton. Every Tuesday, they will hold open mic night with Lyrical Rhythms. Tickets are available for these events at BSide's website.
