As the state continues to see a surge in COVID-19 cases, another popular Cleveland tradition has been canceled for a second year.
The famous " A Christmas Story House" posted on its Facebook Page on Friday that it is again canceling its annual run.
"It saddens us deeply that we have to cancel the A Christmas Story Run again this year. Due to Covid and the Delta variant we feel it is the best options for our guest and staff at this time," the Facebook post says.
This is the second year the event has been shuttered due to the pandemic.
In previous years, the event brought hundreds of runners, sponsors, and volunteers into town for its 5K and 10K races. The event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help restore "Ralphie's Neighborhood in the Tremont area of Cleveland."
The "A Christmas Story" home and museum is located at 3159 W 11th Street in Cleveland.
