SANDUSKY, Ohio — “Something is surfacing.”
That’s how Cedar Point is teasing their upcoming announcement, which is set for Thursday, Sept. 19.
In the days leading up to the big reveal, Cedar Point recently shared a water-themed teaser video that drops a few hints.
The 77-second clip opens with dramatic music accompanied by video of murky water.
Then, the following text appears...
What sounds so sweet may not be so.
Be wary of what lies fathoms below.
After a crashing wave and a storm of bubbles, a woman suddenly appears on screen with what looks like snake scales surrounding the side of her face.

So what could it be?
While Cedar Point has not released any additional information, this announcement comes just two weeks after the Snake River Falls boat ride was permanently closed in the Frontier Town section of the park.
Cedar Point did not provide an exact time of when the announcement will be revealed.
The park is currently open for HalloWeekends, which runs Thursdays through Sundays until Nov. 2.
