SANDUSKY, Ohio — When Cedar Point initially announced their calendar for the 2024 season, the park was scheduled to close for the year with its last day of operation on Sunday, Oct. 27.
But park spokesperson Tony Clark has now confirmed to 3News that Cedar Point's 2024 season has been extended to add the following dates:
- Friday, Nov. 1: 11 a.m. - midnight
- Saturday, Nov. 2: 11 a.m. - midnight
"Given the popularity of our HalloWeekends event, along with its proximity to Halloween, we've decided to extend the event by adding November 1 & 2," Clark tells 3News in an e-mail Wednesday morning. "All HalloWeekends offerings are scheduled to be available both days."
Cedar Point has not yet revealed details on this year’s haunted attractions or live entertainment lineup for HalloWeekends, but one change that was confirmed earlier this year is that Midnight Syndicate is not returning.
HalloWeekends begins on Sept. 12, and runs every Thursday through Sunday until Nov. 2.
Cedar Point is currently hiring for Screamsters to help create the scares this Halloween with pay up to $19.25 per hour.
