Cedar Point hiring 6,500 employees for 2021 season: How you can apply

The Sandusky amusement park is hosting a virtual and in-person hiring event on Saturday, March 13.

Need a job? Cedar Point is looking to fill 6,500 positions for their upcoming 2021 season, which officially kicks off with opening day slated for May 14. Jobs are available in all areas of the amusement park, which includes:

  • Rides
  • Merchandise
  • Park services
  • Food and beverage
  • Guest services
  • Hospitality

Cedar Point's Tony Clark tells 3News that pay rates "really vary by position, but some positions pay up to $17 per hour."

If this is the job for you, Cedar Point is hosting a virtual event for National Hiring Day on March 13. You can register HERE. The virtual hiring day will offer information about available jobs and individual interviews with hiring teams. The park is also offering contact-free onboarding and virtual orientation to help hires prepare to start work.

If virtual isn’t your style, Cedar Point will also host in-person open interviews at the park itself on March 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cedar Point Recruiting Center, which is located at 2220 First Street in Sandusky (the corner of First Street and Cedar Point Drive).

“Applicants will have the opportunity to meet directly with the Cedar Point recruiting team, with appropriate health and safety protocols in place, to discuss a wide variety of seasonal roles,” park officials said about the in-person interviews.

Cedar Point says it offers flexible schedules and various perks for its employees, including discounts, reward and recognition programs, exclusive events, on-site housing and free admission to any Cedar Fair park.
