Cedar Point to no longer require reservations beginning July 1

Cedar Point is kicking off its 150th anniversary celebration weekend with more good news for park goers.

SANDUSKY, Ohio — Cedar Point is kicking off its 150th anniversary celebration weekend with some more good news for park goers.

In an email sent out Friday, the amusement park announced that beginning July 1, the park will lift its capacity restrictions and no longer require reservations for attendance.

Reservations will still be needed at Cedar Point Shores for all guests. You can make reservation online by clicking here

In addition to lifting capacity restrictions, Cedar Point officials also announced that both Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores have returned to daily operation with most Cedar Point nights ending at 10 p.m.

"This means more ride time, more electric nighttime park vibes and of course, ending the day with the Celebrate 150 Spectacular," the email read. "And on July 4th, we're open until 11 p.m. so you can enjoy the Light Up The Point fireworks display!"

With the addition of more operating days back to the Cedar Point & Cedar Point Shores Waterpark calendars in August, both parks are now open daily through Labor Day, September 6.

"As we all transition back to normalcy, we'd also like to thank you for your patience and understanding through all of this – we all want more Cedar Point in our lives, and, as we say, The Fun is Just Beginning," the email concluded.
